well. it has been nearly 1.5 mth since i have last blogged. hahahaz. not that nothing happened in this 1.5 mth but maybe because too many things happened in this 1.5 mth.

first of all. i have to talk about the tokyo grad trip which is totally fabulous. =) if you...exclude the fact that we almost couldn't go because tokyo started having suspected cases 3 days before our flight. and knowing our parents. adrian and i know very well we wouldn't see each other at the airport if tokyo or japan has a single confirmed case.

this trip is really filled with lotsa exciting moments even in the planning stage. from 3 pple became 2 pple then almost becoming 1 person. it's great that everything worked out and i don't have to travel alone or cancel everything.

but the exciting moments is not limited to those only. just 10 mins before i am supposed to leave for the airport. i realised that my luggage (which i borrowed from my sister) CANNOT be locked. i had to literally THROW everything into another spare luggage (thank goodness) and super pai sehly smsed adrian to ask him if he got space to stuff my sleeping bag in. i m reallllyyy disasterous.

then after we reached the airport checked everything in and spent some more time with our parents. we went into the departure hall. but before that i couldn't find my passport and boarding pass! hahahahaz. lucky my parents left if not they saw this i confirmed kena nagged till i die.

so the much coveted ride on A380 is...not bad lahz. hahahaz. actually i dont see the difference since its entertainment system is identical to that i had on my flight to zurich and back. the only difference i saw was the seating arrangement because upper deck has double seats. so if there are only 2 pple travelling you don't have to sit with strangers. that's all. but i didnt catch much sleep on the plane as usual. i only slept for 30 mins on the 7 hours flight.

so we reached narita. then tokyo looking like zombies. and we were greeted by rain. and no. i didn't bring rain to japan (even though masahiko suggested otherwise). and i left my train ticket in the machine after passing through the gate. the very kind station master was holding my ticket and looking around avidly for the owner when i appeared in front of him. =S

we walked about shinjuku and ikebukuro while we waited for masahiko to call us and i must say that he is an exceptional host =) we deprived him of his blankets. comforters and mattresses. i felt really bad about it. and next time if i am going back to tokyo i am definitely bringing winter melon tea for him. on a sidenote. his place is really very nice and cosy and comfortable.

2nd day in tokyo we went to hike in kamakura. it's practically army reenactment without the packs. quoting adrian. it's freaking muddy and tiring. i am swearing off hikes in the near future. seriously. but not bad lahz. at least i saw nature. HAHAHA. tokyo is really concrete jungle to a very large extent. stopped by yokohama but because it's late didnt see much except shopping malls.

the days passed by in a blur actually. went to ueno with masahiko on the 3rd day and stumbled upon a shrine festival! and then we went to play pachinko before going to a very nice bar to have dinner. 4th day we went in pursuit of matsusaka beef which adrian said he waited 27 years for. it's very juicy and tender. hahahaz. then we went to sing ktv with masahiko and i was thoroughly entertained by the 2 of them. hahahaz. kanako joined us and then we went to eat pasta.

and the 2 ki siaox tourists went to stay over at a manga kissa so that we could get up early in time to watch the tuna auctions at the tsukiji fish market which begins at 5.30am. met up with adrian's friend and had sashimi for breakfast. then we went to the imperial palace but couldnt see a thing. because our dear president nathan was visiting. hahahaz. flags of singapore and japan were hanging all over the roads leading to the imperial palace. we even heard the national anthem. HAHAHA. so we decided to go harajuku to see the meiji Jingū and shop abit then walked to shibuya before calling it a day in the early evening because we were too tired. hahahaz.

day 6 began early for disneyland! =) which i waited 22 years for. hahahaz. but we were stopped by a policeman at the shinagawa train station after we jumped fare. HAHAHA. not on purpose though. but because we are blur tourists. first time i realised the importance of bringing your passport around with you. disneyland was very crowded but overall not bad lahz. i had fun. though i sorta feel abit old for it. HAHAHA. and i got 2 more slices of birthdae cake from masahiko and adrian. hahahaz.

day 7 bagan real late. hahahaz. because i overslept! hahahahaz. great way to wake up to your birthdae by sleeping till erh. 11.30am? hahahahaz. went back to the imperial palace but still couldnt see the famous east garden =( we walked around the palace to reach yasukuni jinja the most controversial shrine in japan because it honours the war dead (including WWII war criminals) then we moved onto asakusa to see the famous senso-ji and i got a very good lot! hopefully it will come true soon...hahahaz. but i had a small incident there. =( where i tore the lot paper when i was tying it to the frame. =S i had shabu shabu for my birthday dinner and we met up with jill and bliss who are real nice. hahahaz.

day 8 is SHOPPING DAY! but i left 30k yen (450 sgd) at home!!! boohooo. so while adrian happily shopped away i was erh. killing myself inside my head for my stupidity. ate krispy kreme and fall in luv with it. hahahaz. had dinner at shinagawa which was curry ramen that tasted totally like...MEE RUBUS. our last dinner in tokyo. hahahaz. braved the cold and DUPER SUPER strong winds at odaiba to take photos of the rainbow bridge and tokyo tower.

day 9 is packing up day and meeting kanako for the last time and for mi to do last min shopping for my friends. flight was delayed because of quarantine stuff since it came from US. and it's the oldest plane i had ever taken with SQ. seriously. hahahaz. i m a super spoilt passenger i guess.

and so. this is my grad trip in brief. hahahaz. photos on facebook. if you want to hear more stories. feel free to ask. HAHAHA. i always have storiesss.

moving on to more depressing stuff. i am still job searching. it's damn sianx. i seriously hope someone hire me real soon. it's good to slack at home and nuax and watch shows/movies. but the nagging uncertainty and the financial stress are having their toll on me. sighx. had some bad experience during interviews but i am glad that it made me more clear-headed in terms of my interests at least.

please let the lot i drew in senso-ji comes true. please.

and then moving on to something happier. meeting up with friends have been good! met up with yu kit before she flew to vietnam. haven't see her in nearly 2 years. hahahaz. one of my favourite juniors always. =)

and not forgetting meeting up with my squadmates for dinner and then alumni dinner. i havent been back to ny for ages...maybe ever since jc? hahahaz. the sch has changed yet alot of things remained the same. met mrs teo my art teacher back then who is now the dean. and couldnt help but think of the past when i looked at the cadets now. hahahaz. no matter what. i am grateful for everything that npcc and dalt and ny has taught me.

and we celebrated candy's birthdae for her! though...it's quite mild and i forgot to bring her present. but i hope she had fun. =) i love her and tham2 very very much. hahahaz. lets remain as close as this!

and not forgetting my rather happening group of exchange friends. we are really quite happening. had dinner and minds cafe session. it was very fun hahahaz.

and we celebrated kay key's birthdae for her yesterdae. hahahaz. as the organiser i sorta force things to go along with my wishes abit. hahahaz. but oh well. though the ktv was below expectations i think the company made up for it. we sang happy birthdae for kay key in front of the 'eiffel tower' again (which took mi 3 hours to build). i had to... persuade monsieur lai to help me carry the cake because of the delicate nature of the not so well built tower. and monsieur lai is really the man of hidden talents. he can really sing very well. hahahahaz. at one point of time i thought jj lin was singing. HAHAHA. but i think adrian has found another karaoke kaki. some songs only the oldest 2 could sing and it was hilarious. charlene said the 2 of them are flirting with each other. hahahaz. there is definitely a generation gap. hahahaz.

i am very happy. =)
